I simply had to do another post about ice cream.  In looking at all the flavors and hues, I wanted to taste each and every one.  When I was little, my father would always make strawberry homemade ice cream every summer.  Our ice cream maker was not like the ones today.  It seemed we waited all throughout the day to enjoy a bowl of the lovely pastel pink milky fabulousness!  To find the taste of the ice cream of my youth it has been quite the task but one I am up to as I have always joked, I have an “Ice Cream Gene.”  Whether what season is at hand ice cream is always on the menu and it’s even better for breakfast. Go forth and enjoy!

In honor of National Ice Cream Month,  I thought a bit of a themed post would be in order.  Remember when you were a kid and you wanted chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream?  Somehow choosing one or the other seemed just not enough.  I always enjoyed the color combination of the three….not to mention the taste!  There are so many ways to combine the colors.  Any shade of pink or brown will do not to mention white could be ivory or cream it is up to you.  I think I must have the specs! Even a lovely Mastiff is in on the color inspiration!  Now, it’s time to enjoy a bowl of a great classic!  Happy Monday!

Hey Kids!

I have really not been a fan of pink & red together even at Valentine’s Day.  Lately, I seem to really enjoy the way the two look together. Whether accented with gold, black, or white this color connection looks fresh and season-less.  Whatever you choose blush, pepto, hot pink, neon or pastel pair it with red for a fun and thrilling combo!  Most of all…Have FUN!

In going through my magazines and cut outs over the weekend, I found a lovely photo editorial of Drew Barrymore from the May 2009,  ELLE, shot by Alexei Hay.  The images are gorgeous!  I especially love the red nail polish she wore for the photos-Covergirl Candy Apple- One of my favs.  Alas, it is not made any more.  This one might be a substitute-I hope you enjoyed the beautiful underwater shoot and a fabulous Monday!
